William Trowell Tuten



William (Bill) Trowell Tuten, 53, of Ridgeland, passed away on August 3, 2018, after a brief illness. Born on March 26, 1965 in Hampton, South Carolina to Johnny M. and Sara Trowell Tuten.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved dirt road riding, hunting, fishing, and shrimping with his life long friends. He loved the Clemson Tigers and the THA Rebels where he was a running back and defensive back for the Rebels earning the Golden Helmet (MVP) Award in 1983.
Bill was a proud Dad to William Dalton Tuten (Myranda) and grandad to Isaac Chase and Teagan Addison Tuten of Cleveland, Tennessee. In addition, Bill is survived by his Father, Johnny M. Tuten of Pembroke Georgia, two brothers Benjamin Lee Hankla and John Mikell Tuten (Cathy) both of Ridgeland, two nephews Corey Mikell Tuten (Ivy) and John David Tuten both of Ridgeland, South Carolina. Bill is preceded in death by his mother Sara Trowell Tuten (Libby).

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Sauls Funeral Home chapel, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland with a funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm. Burial to follow at the Ridgeland Cemetery.
