Mary Idella Woods Weaver



Mary Idella Woods Weaver, age 78, and widow of Norman Clifford Weaver Sr. passed away on July 31, 2018 at her home in Beaufort.
Mrs. Weaver was born to the late Wesley and Araminta Ginn Woods on January 11, 1940 in Ridgeland, SC.
Mrs. Weaver was a Registered Nurse and Manager for the Personal Aid Care Services, South Carolina Department of Health. She was a devoted volunteer for the Veterans Administration; member of the VFW Auxiliary; and Past President and Treasurer of the State Military Order of M.O.C.A., an organization with the VFW. After retiring from DHEC, Mrs. Weaver worked at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She was a Baptist and a former member of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband who passed away in 1988, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Collins, Harrison and Monty Woods. She is survived by her beloved children, Alva ‘Zack’ Weaver of Hardeeville and N. Clifford Weaver, Jr. (wife, Christine) of Beaufort; her surviving sibilings, Freddie Lamar Woods of Jacksonboro, SC, Evelyn Woods Dobson of Greenville, SC, Sarah Woods Mallard of Beaufort and Jacquelin Woods Smith (husband, Roland) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan Weaver and Brandon Weaver both of Las Vegas, Nevada and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Please visit with Mary Weaver’s family from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland and proceed in a procession to the Hampton Cemetery, Holly Street East, Hampton, SC 29924 for a 3:00 pm graveside service.
