Lawrence D. “Larry” Bernhard, age 77, of Bluffton, SC and formerly of Bradford, PA died Friday, July 6, 2018 at home.
Mr. Bernhard was born on August 17, 1940 in Berkeley Springs, WV, the son of the late James and Helen Porter Bernhard. He graduated from high school in Kane, PA and began his career in the oil industry, retiring after many years of service as an Energy Technician with Witco Corp. He was active with the Kiwanis Club and with Second Helpings in Bluffton. Larry enjoyed woodworking, Penn State Football, and University of Kentucky Basketball.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bernhard was preceded in death by his siblings, Norma Jean Bernhard, Jim Bernhard, Bob Bernhard, Gus Bernhard, Ed Bernhard, Mildred Alexis, Rick Bernhard, and Eleanor Hervatin. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jennifer Bernhard; children, Jim Bernhard (Ann), Deanna Carls (John), Dawn Kozminski (Mike), Graham English (Katie), and Brian English (Ana); brothers, Ken and Ted Bernhard; grandchildren, Chelsea Smith (Andy), Nicole Butler (Brett), Karli Ramadhan (Zach), Elliot English, Gabriel English, Desmond English, and Eve English; great-grandchildren, Cole Smith, Chase Smith, and Jalen Ramadhan; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bradford, PA.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association or any charity of choice.

Every time I look at my TV, I can think of Larry's Cabinet skills Stunned and sorrowed to hear this news. For weeks after you left Richmond, I would expect you all to walk in to SS class. Jennifer, take care of yourself, You are still missed and will be in our

So very sorry to hear of Larry’s passing! He was such a great man and always ready with a joke. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him! Thoughts and prayers with you and the family at this time of sadness.
