Martin Klinghoffer, age 80 of Bluffton passed away on May 28, 2018 at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hardeeville, SC.
Martin was born in Bronx, NY on July 3, 1937 to the late Sol and Sadie Mines Klinghoffer. He graduated with a BS from Temple University; proudly served in the United States Army and retired as a Pharmacist from Lee’s Pharmacy in Ewing Township, NJ. Martin officiated at baseball, football, soccer and softball games and enjoyed playing all sports. He was a volunteer for the Hilton Head Chapter of Volunteers in Medicine; a member of Temple Oseh Shalom and former official for the Sun City Softball games.
Martin is survived by his wife, Hinda Klinghoffer; sons, Jeffrey S. Klinghoffer (Cindy) of Geneva, IL and Jon E. Klinghoffer (Deborah) of Deerfield, IL; daughter, Lori B. Galbraith (Scott) of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Elaine Melamed of Aventura, FL and grandchildren, Hannah Galbraith, Sydney, Eran, Matthew and Jared Klinghoffer.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton with burial at 2:00 pm at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. Please consider donations, in memory of Martin Klinghoffer, to the American Heart Association or Hilton Head Volunteers in Medicine.

marty was one of the best swimmers I ever watched at Trenton high school . he was a good friend even though he was a yr and a half older than me. if I had a problem he fixed it. very sad to hear this news. my heart goes out to his family. may he rest in peace.
