John Andrew Carpenter, age 84, of Bluffton died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC.
Mr. Carpenter was born on March 12, 1934 in Buffalo, NY. He was a graduate of Purdue University where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. Outside of work he enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and tinkering with anything mechanical.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Pamela Billings Carpenter; children, Ann Handy (Dan), Craig Carpenter (Jill), Susan Alexander, and Mark Carpenter (Heidi); stepchildren, Collier Maxwell and Heather Chandler (Rafael); grandchildren, Aimee, Erin, Ryan, Chrysanthos, Olivia, Leah, Jack, Geoff, Andy, and Josh; and several great-grandchildren.
