Frances A. Larsen, age 91, of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Armonk, NY died Monday, April 2, 2018 at home.
Mrs. Larsen was born on March 6, 1927 in White Plains, NY, the daughter of the late George and Madeline Durant. She was a graduate of Pine Manor College. She was a member of Hillside Church in Armonk where she was a Sunday School Teacher and was active with the Women’s Ministry. While living in South Carolina she was a member of Community Bible Church. She was a Teaching Director and Area Director of Community Bible Studies in New York and the Bluffton/Hilton Head area.
Mrs. Larsen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Richard H. Larsen. She is survived by her son, Philip G. Larsen (LeeAnne); daughter, Claudia L. McCabe (Mark); six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
The burial will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018 at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Community Bible Church, 638 Parris Island Gateway, Beaufort, SC 29906.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Bible Studies.

A beautiful light for Jesus has left this earth, but Fran’s encouraging words,
truths she taught about God’s Word, comfort and support she gave to those
who were blessed to know and love her will Iive on in our hearts.
