Billie S. Langford



Billie S. Langford, age 100, of Ridgeland, SC and widow of Gaston Leonidas Langford passed away on June 6, 2017 at home. A woman who dearly loved her Lord and family.
Mrs. Langford was born in Smoaks, SC on April 16, 1917 to the late Manning S. Smith and Leila M. Reddish Smith.
Mrs. Langford served as Town Clerk of Ridgeland for many years; owned and operated Langford Appliance Company with her husband; member Order of Eastern Star, Mary Heyward Chapter; member St. Paul United Methodist Church; grade mother for her children; honored at the 50th Anniversary of Class of 1965; accomplished cook and baker for her family and affectionately called Momoo by her family and friends.
Mrs. Langford is survived by her twin sons, Leon ‘Noonie’ Langford (Kathy) of Ridgeland and J. Hammie Langford (Jane) of Seabrook, SC; her daughter, Bobbie Mears of Midway, GA; grandchildren, Christy M. Bargeron (Jerry), Ricky Mears, Sheldon Langford (Lauren), Chad Langford (Rebecca), Christopher Goethe (KayCee), Jamie Langford (Fripp), Erin Langford Padgett (Ian) and many great and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Milton “Jack” Seabrook Smith and her sisters, Mary S. Jackson, Evelyn S. Sauls, Sue S. Lancaster, Irma S. Freeman and Betty Rae Russell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, June 9, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Ridgeland with burial to follow in Ridgeland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in memory of Billie S. Langford.
