John P. Mack, age 81, of Bluffton, SC died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC.
Mr. Mack was born on November 19, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of the late John and Ruth Mack. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Greenland. He was a retired Jersey City, NJ police officer. He was of Catholic faith, enjoyed television, camping, and NASCAR racing.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mack was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Mack. He is survived by his son, John J. Mack of Bluffton, SC; daughters, Debbie Mack of Bluffton, SC and Linda P. Lance (Roger) of Palm Desert, CA; sisters, Connie McDougall of Bluffton, SC and Catherine Auriemma of Fairfield, ME; and grandchildren, Nicole Mack, Amanda Lance, Matthew Lance, and Justin Lance.
A memorial service will take place in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the DAV: Disabled American Veterans.
